In short, I’ve changed a lot here. When I was waiting for a few hours at the Vancouver airport to catch a flight to Kamloops, I ordered some food at the food court, and I was actually shocked by my poor English skills. And I was very nervous because I had to speak in English even if I was just talking to someone. Even after arriving in Kamloops, I often became ill due to life in an unfamiliar environment, life style and jet lag. So, I was quit worried my host family and friends. However, as time passed, I got used to this life, and now I feel a little sad to leave here. I can say that my English speaking ability has improved greatly now compare with that time.
Now, I don’t face such difficulties when I go shopping or go to a restaurant. And now I am so happy that I am confident enough to interview students at the university. I think it was because of the life and classes in Canada. In addition, I was able to get experiences that I had never had before, meet various people, and enjoy new discoveries all the time. I am sure that the confidence, cross-cultural experience, knowledge, and abilities I get here will definitely have a positive impact on my future.
